Shannon holt - co-founder & DIRECTOR OF VOLUNTEERS

I am a single mom who knows the importance of having a strong support system. I am encouraging the moms to strive and realize their worth. I am able to work well alongside an amazing group of people and volunteers. From purchasing items, organizing what goes in the boxes we drop off monthly to helping in needed areas, I feel blessed to be a part of From Your Father. Helping fatherless families is vital to the community and beyond. When these families are provided and supported for, it makes a positive impact in their lives. Helping this demographic allows for the building of a strong foundation. When stress is relieved by the need being met, it produces a healthy family structure.I feel blessed to have the ability to encourage others and help them strive to reach their full potential. Teamwork is important to me and I work well with others to complete a common goal. Organization is also a skill set I possess, in the midst of what appears to be chaos, it is always good to provide some structure and boundaries.

Helping Fatherless families helps to bridge in the gap for children to feel supported, loved, and empowered to achieve in life and academics.The skills I have are compassion, dedication, patience to work with the families that From Your Father serves. I enjoy meeting the moms where they are and providing them with what they need. I am using the skill of being a mom to understand other moms needs. It allows me to relate to the families we serve while motivating them to not give up.
